England is composed of a variety of counties, districts, and neighborhoods, that span from the southern most point of the island, to the borders of Scotland. Cornwall, Surrey, and Essex are probably names you’ve heard before. These counties are all located in the south of England. Some of the other counties in southern England that are worth visiting include Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Kent. A trip along the southern coast of England will take you near, or right through all these counties.
If you head north, you will have a chance to see Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, Cheshire, and Derbys. Those on a road trip should consider searching for Warwickshire hotel rooms to spend the night. Enjoy the city and discover northern England on the following day. From here, you can continue on to see Yorkshire, Durham, and Northumberland, bordering Scotland.
